ITM (Master of Information Technology Management)
Introduction
The graduate program is titled as Master of Science in Information Technology Management (MSITM). Utopia’s online M.Sc in Information Technology Management is designed to train students to successfully handle the planning, selection, management of information technology in organizations. The curriculum aims to advance the range of knowledge, skills, and precise approach needed in the IT industry towards its management.
The program will take account of human, organizational and strategic factors and enable students to develop skills in:
• Exploring theories relating to IT management as an innovative resource
• Researching current practice
• Analyzing IT system trends, methodologies and interfaces
• Communicating concepts, designs and evaluation within a technical environment.
The Curriculum for MSITM focuses on advance courses related to IT/IS strategy, IT project management, Systems thinking, Innovation and Security. In each of those categories, related and usable courses are prepared.
Total credit hour
The Master of Science in Information Technology Management (MSITM) is designed to be completed with 36 credit hours which is equivalent to 84 ECTS. The program includes 10 course and a thesis work.
Program Duration
Students are expected to complete the program within 4 semesters or two years. Most courses are given with in two semesters in a year. In the third semester students will be registered for two course and a thesis/research project. The last or the fourth semester will be used for master’s thesis/research project. While thesis research is purely knowledge oriented a research project inclines to applied research type with a problem-solving objective.
Four semester time table doesn’t include bridging courses. Students’ who are taking bridging course will need one additional semester for the bridging courses.
Mode of Delivery
The courses are delivered online via Online Campus (an interactive online learning environment) with intensive class discussion and collaboration. The course or module’s learning resources will be delivered via the institution’s online learning environment or platform.
